This week (Monday 10 September) Tayla Henshall was proposed to by her boyfriend of more than two years in one of the most epic proposals Johannesburg has seen.

Dwayne Marx proposed to the girl of his dreams with a huge billboard saying “Tayla Henshall, will you marry me?” and #TaylaSayYes just below it, on the side of Johannesburg’s busiest intersection, the corner of William Nicol Road and Sandton Drive. With such a grand gesture of love, an emotional Tayla said yes!

Her now-fiancé, Dwayne Marx loved the idea of a grand proposal as he believes his amazing partner deserves nothing but the best. The couple met four years ago, and say it was “love at 250 millionth sight”. Tayla is also expecting their child in November, so this is a very special time for the couple! The lovebirds are not looking at getting married soon though, as their main focus right now is the arrival of their beautiful baby.

But how did Dwayne manage to pull off this unique proposal?

“M-Net became aware that Dwayne wanted to propose in a very special way and pulled out all the stops to make his dream come true. In the end, there were over sixty people involved in this proposal and it was an honour for M-Net to be a part of this celebration of love,” M-Net’s Marketing Manager Justin Jacobie said. “This was also the perfect opportunity for us to launch The Wedding Bashers,”. The channel has since replaced the #TaylaSayYes billboard on the corner of William Nicol Road and Sandton Drive with The Wedding Bashers. Watch Dwayne's sweet proposal below.
