The second Samantha to join Team Karen this season is Sam Landers (30) from Durban. Sam, a full-time vocal coach and musician, has been singing all of her life and entered The Voice SA to give herself a new challenge. And clearly Sam is a fan of challenges as picked the notoriously difficult Judy Garland classic “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” to sing as her audition song. As if that wasn’t enough, Sam started off her song completely acapella and unaccompanied by The Voice SA house band. Coach Karen turned for Sam after the second note of her song, and was joined by Lira and Kahn too. But because Karen pressed her buzzer first, she landed this established pro singer.
