When she was at school at Victoria Girls High in Grahamstown Zikhona “Zee” Gqamana (23) won the award for the school’s “Best Marimba Player” – which is not something that many people can just casually work into a conversation! The talented Zee always loved music, singing in school choirs, but after school she went and studied Information Technology instead, as her family encouraged her to put her education first, before her true love which is music. She has just finished her BSc Honours in Information Systems at Rhodes University felt that it was finally time to enter The Voice South Africa, and this decision paid off for her beautifully. Zee won herself a place on #TeamKahn with her rendition of Asa’s “Jailer”.
