At age 31 Leota – or “Lee” – Taylor from Pretoria has already travelled all over the world as a performer. When she was living in South East Asia, her musical mentor and Godmother, Beth Arendse, wrote to Lee asking whether she is simply going to sing all over the world for the rest of her life, or whether she plans to really do something with her talent permanently. It was that conversation that prompted Lee to come back home, focus on her career, and to enter The Voice SA! Both Bobby and Kahn turned for Lee, but it was Kahn, who compared Lee’s voice to Bonnie Tyler’s, that nabbed this unique performer.
