Christy-Lyn Marais

Ethereal Christy-Lyn Marais (28) from Bergvliet in Cape Town has been playing musical instruments and singing since she was in primary school. After school Christy-Lyn studied Occupational Therapy as well as some Classical Singing. As the years progressed, Christy-Lyn found herself doing more music and less OT, especially with her new-found passion for the harp. Realising that she could make a career out of music, Christy-Lyn took the bold step to enter The Voice SA, and it paid off for her. The audition song that secured her a place on #TeamKahn was the haunting traditional ballad “Scarborough Fair” - made famous by Simon and Garfunkel - which she sang whilst playing the harp, prompting all four of the coaches to compliment Christy-Lyn on her set of unique set of skills.
