Afrikaans singing sensation and songwriter Bobby van Jaarsveld started his illustrious music career in Grade 11 when he clinched a sought-after recording deal. His first album 'Goue Ure' then catapulted him to fame and earned him the annual Huisgenoot Tempo Award for Best Newcomer to the industry.
Since his early musical successes, Bobby has become a regular on the red carpets of award ceremonies. His numerous accolades include a prestigious SAMA Award (Best Contemporary Album for 'Net vir Jou' in 2010), awards from radio stations Jacaranda 94.2, and several more Huisgenoot Tempo awards on top of Ghoema, Vonk and MK Awards.
Bobby has also graced the silver screen with lead roles in the box office hits 'Liefling - Die Movie' and 'As Jy Sing'. The massive success of the former also inspired a theatre production, which sold a whopping 38,000 tickets, and in 2014 he starred in 'Droomkind, die Storie van Josef'. In 2016 he released the hit single "It's Always Been You" while his reality show, In Jou Skoene, alongside his sister Karlien, debuted in 2017.
