Riky Rick is rarely quiet – but his latest interview on radio was not on a station you might expect: it was on 702!

The Coach chatted to Bruce Whitfield on The Money Show in a weekly feature called ‘Make Money Mondays, Personal Edition’, a feature in which celebrities are asked about their views on the “paper”.

You can listen to it here, but some choice quotes from the chat are:

“We never talked about money [when growing up]… I didn’t understand what pressure going to Hilton put on my parents’ shoulders.”

“My daughter is 10 and my son is five… I tell them they have to start working early.”

“They [cars] were a thing. Now I just want one car… I’m driving a Porsche 911… I drive the heck out of it.”

Meanwhile, LIRA has been showing the very human side we’ve come to expect from the generous Coach – she’s been preparing relief packages for cyclone Idai victims in Beira, Mozambique.

Bravo Miss! For those who’ve been living under a rock, Idai devastated large parts of Moz, Zimbabwe and Malawi recently – if you want to assist, there are plenty of options.

Riana Nel is also a humanitarian, and a religious one – and if you are too, you can join her at the Music & Ministry event this Saturday (30 March).

Happening at the New Covenant Church, Bryanston, it’s a mere R100 to get in. More info here.

Last but not least, Coach Francois is continuing to push the Van Coke & Vriende gig in May (we wrote about it here – Riana is also on the bill), and he just played with his band Fokofpolisiekar at two Rock on the Lawns gigs – supporting massive international alternative rockers, The Cure!

Big things, these Voice Coaches – stay tuned!
