SSA6 More Tribes

PHOTO: Two tribes became three in last week’s episode of Survivor South Africa: Philippines

Last week’s dramatic shakeup which saw the birth of a new tribe, Visayas, means that there are now three tribes on Survivor South Africa: Philippinesand more tribes mean more drama!

At Mindanao, Stacey-Lee’s departureand the tribe split – put a dent in the “girls’ alliance”, which PK keeps grilling Katinka about. While the boys try to figure out whether that alliance survived the tribe split, the one thing everyone agrees on is that Marthunis is getting on their collective nerves. Tevin hopes to mastermind his departure, now that Marthunis’ supposed ally Werner is over at Luzon – but will that mean Mindanao will have to ‘throw’ another challenge?

At Visayas, tensions are high as Murishca attempts to assert herself in the midst of the tug of war between Tom & Chané and Vusi & Palesa, while the tension that’s been simmering between Tom and Palesa finally boils over, with their Hidden Immunity Idols, as ammunition.

Over at Luzon, Josie is now the sole outsider to the former Mindanao bloc of Toni, Werner and Jeanne after Ace went home last week, despite valiantly digging for the Hidden Immunity Idol to keep himself in the game. Now that the secret is out after Tribal Council, it’ll be a mad dash to find that Idols on the Luzon beach – and nobody’s more desperate to secure it, than outsider Josie. Werner already has the Idol from the former Mindanao in his pocket – and finding a second one could make him nigh-unstoppable.

With three Hidden Immunity Idols currently in play – and one still to be unearthed on the Luzon beach – the stakes have never been higher. Tune in to Survivor SA: Philippines this Thursday at 19:00 on M-Net 101.
