Welcome to the funeral that evoked all the emotions, gave us memorable flashbacks, and had unwanted guests.
Tears of sorrow, tears of lies.
Abi, with Candice by her side, finally decides to face her beloved husband's funeral. She tells Candice she doesn't know how it feels to lose Trent. Oh Abi, trust us she does!
Meanwhile, T-Boss keeps playing Superman to Candice, while his wife feels they're growing apart. Careful T-Boss, you might be getting a bit too close. Speaking of Superman, props to little Noah and Heath for being Abi's supermen at the funeral - that gave us all the feels.
Grieving and guilt-ridden guests.
Lucille shows up and is pretty much treated like the plague throughout the funeral. Damn, she must have done something really bad as Jessica says she tried to ruin her sister's life. What exactly did she do? Tell us already, the anticipation is killing us!
Stephen finally builds up the courage to speak to Abi, who is glad he showed up. Much has changed since he left and he's trying to get his head around it. There's more to this puppy-dog-eyed man than meets the eye and we want to find out what's his story.
The son and the widow
Trent's son (who is growing on us, he seems rather nice don't you think?) meets Abi at the funeral. Little does she know that she has met the son of the love of her life. We're dying to see her reaction when she finally finds out he's flesh and blood. Guess we're just gotta wait for this one!
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust
Trent's parents are very broken-hearted and we sympathise with them, even though they're shunning their grandson and want to bury Trent's ashes. Bury his ashes? Mmm ok... what's that saying? Different folks, different strokes.
And the award for the best wife of the year goes to... Abi! She made sure Trent's ashes were scattered in his garden, the place he loved most, after swopping out his ashes with... wait for it... braai ash! Now that's one secret that's literally buried!
