Aspen Pharmacare is Making a Difference

Sustainable communities that address the triple challenge of unemployment, poverty and inequality is a key business imperative for Aspen. Central to achieving sustainable communities, particularly in resource constrained communities, are those of adequate Healthcare delivery and Education. More often than not, the largest healthcare resource constrain resides in Paediatric Healthcare, with a significant shortage of paediatric facilities. This seems counter-intuitive as the youth are our future and if, as a society we not addressing these healthcare needs at paediatric and toddler stage, we will never fully realise our potential as a nation.

The MAD Trust and its associated Tygerberg project, is one of those projects that aim to make a meaningful difference to our children and youth - one that is fully aligned with Aspen’s objective of building sustaining communities, where all South Africans thrive.
