Creativity comes in many different guises. It’s not always about creating incredible characters or a beautiful story; sometimes it’s about new, different and totally crazy ways to crash cars.

Virtually no one in Hollywood pulls it off quite like those behind the amazing car stunts seen in the Fast & Furious franchise. Seven movies in and we’ve seen car chases, stunts and crashes so impressive, it’s got Steve McQueen wriggling in his grave, wishing he could join the action.

This April, on M-Net Movies Action + Channel 106, we’re bringing you the first four movies from the franchise. With these car-tastic films to look forward to, we’re taking another glimpse at some of the best car stunts from the seven movies.

The Fast and the Furious (2001)

Can you believe it’s been fifteen years since the first film? Giving us a taste of what was to come in future instalments – not that they knew it would become the box-office blowing franchise it is today – was the train chase between Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto and Paul Walker’s Brian O’Connor. The two stars would go on to make five Fast & Furious films together, before Walker’s untimely death in 2013.

Watch The Fast and the Furious on 9 April.

2 Fast 2 Furious (2003)

The sequel was the first film in which Diesel did not appear. Tyrese Gibson stepped in to team up with Walker; and, bar the third and fourth film, has been part of the franchise ever since.

Watch 2 Fast 2 Furious on 16 April.

The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006)

Tokyo Drift is something of an anomaly: it’s the third movie in the franchise, but takes place between events in the sixth and seventh films. It also features none of the regular characters, but does come with a cameo from Diesel and a cool mountainside race.

Watch The Fast & the Furious: Tokyo Drift on 23 April.

Fast & Furious (2009)

The franchise really started upping the action ante with the fourth film, because it’s not every day that you dodge an exploding tanker.

Watch Fast & Furious on 30 April.

Fast Five (2011)

It might be all about the action, but another draw card for fans is the bromance between Dom and Brian who, in the fifth film, defy another train…and a canyon.

Fast & Furious 6 (2013)

Multiple cars, a bridge, a sheer drop or two, and a tank….just another day for Dom, Brian and the gang.

Furious 7 (2015)

The final film starring Walker, he exited with bravura as Brian, Dom and the team skydive out a plane to catch a speeding train.

Make sure you watch these awesome moments this month during the Fast & Furious Festival every Saturday at 20:00 on M-Net Movies Action+ Channel 106.
