Samantha Leonard (24) from Kimberley has been singing since the age of three, and with the wholehearted support of her parents is living her dream – and theirs – gigging all around South Africa. A few years ago, Samantha was employed by the Barnyard Theatre group for 18 months, and toured through Dubai with them for two weeks, a period which opened Samantha’s eyes to the rest of the world and inspired her to go big and do whatever she can to become a recording artist. Samantha’s rip-roaring rendition of Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj’s smash hit “Bang Bang” had all four of the coaches pressing their buzzers and getting heated amongst each other as they begged Samantha to join their teams. But Samantha had her heart set on one coach from the very beginning, and that was Karen Zoid.
