Like so many The Voice SA singers PJ Pretorius (26) got his start in church, in Secunda, where he grew up. “At around age 16 I started messing about with percussion in the worship group and my church,” he recalls, “and eventually I started playing guitar and then singing”. Today he works full time as the worship leader at his church in Secunda. PJ won himself three coaches’ turns with his rendition of Coldplay’s “Yellow” but despite Lira and Kahn’s praises, PJ picked #TeamKaren.
