Chico Muya (24) from Durban admitted that he’d never really been into music as a competition, but some of his fellow muso friends, Chloë Clark and Gavin Walsh - who both appeared in Season 1 of The Voice SA - encouraged him to enter. Chico is a full time musician and has even opened for Kahn Morbee on two occasions in Durban, but his version of Oasis’s “Wonderwall” spoke to Karen Zoid enough for her to press her buzzer, as she complimented Chico on his natural tone which she said was “priceless”. “South Africa is going to love you,” she raved as Chico exited the stage.
