Pastor’s kid Anchen Groenewald (19) travelled all around the country growing up, thanks to her dad’s ministry, but she considers Rustenburg – where she completed most of her schooling – “home”. At Hoërskool Rustenburg she sang in the choir,performed in musicals and enjoyed every kind of singing activity that she could. After matriculating in 2015 Anchen took a gap year to focus on music, which now looks like it might extend to at least two gap years after her impressive rendition of Lukas Graham’s “7 Years” at Season 2’s Blind Auditions. Bobby turned his chair around on the last note of her song, declaring “I’m on your team!”
