The Voice SA coach and his sister Karlien have raised a lot of money to help save eighteen babies' lives.

The pair raised R951,000 for the El-Shammah Home for Abandoned Babies and is helping to save the facility from closure.

The siblings banded together to take up the challenge as part of their reality show, in which they had to "live a day in the life" of Dianne Broodryk from Good Morning Angels.

Turns out that El-Shammah was about to be shut down and the eighteen children they care for would be homeless.

"We are happy because we promised that we can help and we have fulfilled our promise," Bobby said.

The pair encouraged people to donate on the crowd-funding website Candystick and thanks to their profiles and popularity, the massive amount was raised.
