The Voice SA coach Bobby van Jaarsveld is working with the hottest producer in the country right now, Sketchy Bongo.
For the hook-up they’re reworking one of Bobby’s biggest hits, 2009’s “Spieltjie”.
In even more excellent news, the pair will premiere the remix in The Voice SA live show of 18 June!
Originally from Durban and known for occasionally wearing a ski mask, Sketchy Bongo broke through with the track “Back To The Beach”, a 2015 collab with Kyle Deutsch and Shekhinah.
He gained more prominence with another Shekhinah hook-up, “Let You Know”, which is sitting on over a million YouTube views and which landed him an international deal with Ultra Music, alongside fellow South Africans GoodLuck – recent #TheVoiceSA guests – and Black Coffee.
Since then he’s worked with Bobby’s co-coach Jimmy Nevis, Locnville and Danny K. He also opened for Justin Bieber on his recent South African tour.
