In the penultimate episode of M-Net and Telkom’s Shark Tank SA, the five intrepid investors face up to some of the most passionate business owners that have stepped into the tank to date. Simply being a good salesperson is not going to get you very far where the savvy Sharks are concerned, however, as enthusiasm for your craft will only get you so far.
Facing up to accountant Marnus Broodryk, marketing expert Gil Oved, telecommunications specialist Romeo Kumalo, business and marketing authority Dawn Nathan-Jones and tech guru Vinny Lingham this week are a Capetonian hoping to wheel-and-deal his way to taking his tourism business to the next level, a familiar face to M-Net’s audiences with a super sassy fashion pitch, an Italian-born innovator set on snagging a Shark with a fresh take on a frozen food family favourite, and a young entrepreneur who quit her job to pursue her colourful business dream.
As always, the ambitious small business owners will have to keep their composure as the Sharks demand financial breakdowns, long-term plans, and distribution strategies. They may even question whether certain entrepreneurs are actually taking advantage of their goodwill.
