The Voice SAย talent received a huge surprise this week when one of South Africaโs biggest bands, Prime Circle, invited them to โparty like rock starsโ at a karaoke bar in their down-time.ย โIโve never done karaoke before!โ admitted a slightly cautious PJ Pretorius (26) from Secunda, but he took to it like a duck to water after the first few notes and some encouragement from the rest of the Top 6 talent and the rock super group.
The Voice SAย cameras were there to capture all the action and in this weekโs show on Sunday 25 June fans will see how the singers belted out sing-along songs to relax a bit before wowing the masses again this week. Prime Circle will also join them on theย spectacularย The Voice SAย stage duringย Sundayย nightโs spectacular show.
The Top 6 are now back in rehearsals with their coaches, while one coach in particular is also preparing to perform this week. Coach Lira, who now has no more talent left in her team after Luke Lovemore exited the series last week, will wowย The Voice SAย audience with her track โHow Far Iโll Goโ from the feature filmย Moana.
Once again, the talent are preparing some classic chart-topper covers in their bid to win the votes of the South African public and secure their spots in the Top 5 of the competition. Here is what they have lined up for this week:
- In #TeamKaren, Kimberlyโs Samantha Leonard (24) will be channeling Brandi Carlileโs โThe Storyโ, while worship leader PJ Pretorius from Secunda (26) will also be keeping things contemporary with Shappardโs hit song โGeronimoโ.
- Comedic Fatman is taking on Robbie Williamsโ iconic ballad โAngelsโ and his fellow #TeamKahn talent Craig Lucas (23) from Cape Town will be serenading audiences with Amy Winehouseโs classic โValerieโ.
- Pop star Bobby van Jaarsveldโs Caroline Brussow (32) from Bloemfontein plans to belt out her second Sia track of the season, namely โTitaniumโ and musical theatre veteran Josh Ansley (31) will tackle James Arthurโs โSay You Wonโt Let Goโ.ย
