Tune in for a new set of all-powerful leading ladies on M-Net next week.

They’re modern, sexy, strong and independent women, and have the sharp wit and intelligence to take down the bad guys. Get ready because they’re going to be gracing television screens every Monday, from 30 May. Taking over from Kerry Washington in The Fixer and Marcia Gay Harden in Code Black), a new set of all-powerful leading ladies features the gorgeous and talented Mireille Enos in The Catch starting at 20:30, followed by Madam Secretary at 21:30, which will see the lovely Téa Leoni returning for a second season.

For those who love the latest trends, both The Catch and Madam Secretary also feature some of the very best in corporate- and White House-fashion, all in true Hollywood style. Both leading ladies may be fictional, but they’re ready to provide much-needed escapism on a Monday night, and they are sure to be part of the conversation -  on social media and everywhere else.

From the producers of award-winning series The Fixer, Grey’s Anatomy and How to Get Away with Murder, The Catch Season 1 is a brand new addition to Shonda Rhimes’ already thrilling catalogue of drama.

Mireille Enos (World War Z, The Killing), stars as Alice Vaughn, LA’s top private investigator, who happens to be at the top of her game. As a woman who prides herself on being one step ahead of the con-artists she puts behind bars, it’s more than devastating when she discovers that her fiancé, played by the dapper Peter Krause (Parenthood, Six Feet Under), has conned her out of millions and disappeared with her wealth, her long list of profitable clients, and possibly her sanity. Not one to back down, Alice prepares to embark on a private mission for payback and she’ll stop at nothing to catch her man.

The Catch also stars Sonya Walger (Parenthood, Lost), Rose Rollins (The L Word), Jacky Ido (Inglourious Basterds), Elvy Yost (Bandslam) and Alimi Ballard (Fast Five). It’s executive-produced by Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, Allan Heinberg and Julie Anne Robinson.

Television viewers were glued to their screens last year when Téa Leoni made a comeback to the small screen in the political drama Madam Secretary. The series begins its second season on M-Net channel 101 from 21:30 on Monday 30 May.

In Season 1 Elizabeth McCord, the shrewd, determined Secretary of State drove international diplomacy, battled office politics and dodged protocol to negotiate global and domestic issues, both at the White House and at home. The second season premiere sees Elizabeth forced to take the oath of office when the President’s plane disappears, meaning she temporarily becomes Madam President. Adding to the excitement is Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman, who directs and makes a guest appearance in the Season 2 premiere.

Madam Secretary stars: Tim Daly as Henry McCord , Bebe Neuwirth as Nadine Tolliver, Željko Ivanek as Russell Jackson, Patina Miller as Daisy Grant, Erich Bergen as Blake Moran, Geoffrey Arend as Matt Mahoney, Kathrine Herzer as Alison McCord, Evan Roe as Jason McCord, Wallis Currie Wood  as Stephanie “Stevie” McCord and Keith Carradine as President Conrad Dalton.
