The Oscar Pistorius trial has made headline news across the globe with the worldโ€™s biggest news agencies reporting from court on a daily basis. This ITV documentary is big news, as it features Oscarโ€™s first - and only โ€“ television interview since the tragic events on Valentineโ€™s Day 2013.ย 

M-Net and SuperSport have secured the rights to bring this interview to our viewers immediately after its world-premiere on the UK network. This means that our viewers will have high-quality access to the content and will be able to participate in conversation around it as it happens worldwide.

To put the interview into perspective and provide in-depth insights into the context thereof, it will also form part of a Carte Blanche special, in which an expert panel will analyse the material.

  • When will the interview be on ITV?

Oscar Pistorius: The Interview will be on ITV in the UK at 21h00 (22h00 CAT).

  • When are you screening it?

The ITV documentary Oscar Pistorius: The Interview will be screened as part of a Carte Blanche special on M-Net and sister channel M-Net City on Friday 24 June from 22h55.

Thereafter both the documentary and the Carte Blanche special will be available on all the DStv Catch Up platforms (Premium, Compact and online).

SuperSport will also screen it again, for the benefit of viewers who missed the first late-night screening on Friday evening.

The interview will form part of a Carte Blanche special, which will include a panel discussion, to ensure that itย  is put into perspective and analysed in context. Carte Blanche has been following the trial from the beginning and some of the experts from previous Carte Blanche discussions around the trial will be on the panel.

To put the interview into perspective and provide in-depth analysis and insights. The special will feature a panel discussion with experts who have followed the trial right from the start.

The panel will be confirmed closer to Friday nightโ€™s broadcast. Carte Blanche investigative journalist John Webb, who has been reporting from court from the beginning of the trial, will also be in studio.

  • Why are you screening the Carte Blanche special on both M-Net and M-Net City?

While M-Net (channel 101) is available to DStv Premium customers only, M-Net City (channel 115) is also on DStv Compact.ย  By having it on both channels,ย  it will be accessible to more viewers.
