Buckle up - all the mean supercar machines of the world’s most adrenaline-fuelled film franchise are bolting down the road at breakneck speed! From Saturday 1 April to Sunday 9 April M-Net and MultiChoice are putting the pedal to the metal with a special M-Net Movies Fast & Furious pop-up channel featuring the first seven feature films of the high-octane franchise built on non-stop action, heart-stopping stunts, heart-pumping chases and superstar casts.

The M-Net Movies Fast & Furious pop-up channel is a special treat for MultiChoice’s DStv Premium customers, arriving just days before the much-anticipated film premiere of the eighth instalment in the franchise, Fast & Furious 8, starring an all-star cast including Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Kurt Russell and South Africa’s very own Charlize Theron which will be released in cinemas worldwide.  Petrol-heads, Fast fans and everyone who loves great action can race off to Channel 109. The channel will also be streamed on DStv Now and all seven films will be available on the M-Net Movies Collection on Catch Up Plus, which can be accessed via the DStv Wifi Connector.

“We promised to bring viewers unmissable curated movie-themed channels in 2017 and are excited to rev it up after the massive success of pop-ups such as the recent James Bond extravaganza and M-Net Inspire,” says M-Net’s Director of Channels, Jan du Plessis. “The M-Net Movies Fast & Furious pop-up has been timed to feed into the frenzy around the latest addition to the franchise. It also coincides with exciting changes on the M-Net channels. April is indeed going to be a super-sized month on the M-Net front.”

On Saturday 1 April, M-Net 101 and M-Net Edge are merging to form an improved channel with an extended prime time and zero repeats between 18:00 and midnight.

The M-Net Movies Fast & Furious channel will run daily from 10:00 with back-to-back Fast films until around 22:30. Please note that the channel will conclude on 9 April with a binge-viewing session, with all seven films running in chronological order. For the full schedules, please consult the DStv EPG.
