The Greatest Movie Ever Made has kicked off and we canโt wait to watch your casting videos. If youโre still a little unclear about how to get your awesome acting to us, hereโs a blow-by-blow, step-by-step breakdown to make sure we see what youโve got to give.
1. WATCH A MOVIEย
Watch a movie in search of a great scene to re-enact. We've given you a few suggestions from M-Net Movies, but you can pick any movie you want.
We've also suggested classic scenes here, here and here.
2. CHOOSE A SCENE FROM THE MOVIE
Once you have picked a movie and watched it, choose your favourite scene from the movie โ like Rizzo's teasing tune inย Grease.
3. RECREATE AND RECORD THE SCENE
Now that youโve chosen the scene you like best, get your friends, family, or both to reenact it. Record your re-enactment. The re-enactment should retain the essence of the scene, but you can put your own spin on it. Not sure what we mean? Watch the winning re-enactment below from the Jerry Maguire competition as an example.
4. UPLOAD YOUR VIDEO TO FACEBOOK, TWITTER OR INSTAGRAM USING THE HASHTAG #MMGREATEST
When your video is complete, upload it to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. You MUST use the hashtag #MMGreatest, otherwise your video/entry will not count. This will also help us to find your video. If you are uploading to Facebook, remember to make sure the video privacy setting is set to โpublicโ. We will not be able to see the video if your privacy setting is set to private/friends only.
5. COMPLETE THE ENTRY FORM
Once you have uploaded your video to social media visit this webpageย and complete the entry form.
