Are you getting up bright and early to watch the hottest TV shows Express from the U.S? There’s plenty to choose from, but which one is your favourite? They all have something different to offer, and while some may enjoy the freaky element of sci-fi in Under the Dome, others may prefer the legal grit of Suits. If that’s not quite enough grit, you may prefer True Detective or Ray Donovan. Let’s take a quick look at what you can expect in your Express shows.
Drama
Undoubtedly all four shows offer drama in bucket loads. If you like your drama dark, then the seediness and corruption in True Detective and Ray Donovan are excellent viewing; but the inexplicable circumstances of that disturbing glass bubble in Under the Dome force its characters into a confined space with little means of escape. The uncomfortable, and scary, conditions inevitably lead to rising tension forcing the townspeople to confront one another, which leads to much flaring of tempers and boiling of blood...and burning of fires!
Comedy
Suits wins in this category. It’s often dubbed a dramedy, a new-fangled word combining comedy and drama. With Harvey’s comebacks that are sharper than his suits, and the sombre content of the other shows, Suits is bound to cause the most laughs.
Thrills
When it comes to thrills, we’d have to say it’s something of a tie between the shootouts and chases of True Detective, and the paranoia of Under the Dome. But we suppose it’s all about what kind of thrills you’re looking for. We’re sure Mike and Donna from Suits make you feel thrilled in a totally different way; and what about Liev Schreiber as Ray Donovan? He certainly makes many melt at the knees.
Talent
Each show is jam-packed with incredible actors. True Detective has the starriest line-up, with silver screen stars making their way to the box. However, the cast of Suits has impressed viewers with their polished delivery of the show's smart scripts; while Ray Donovan has been raking in awards and nominations for the talented cast. Many of the actors in Under the Dome are mere hatchlings in the nest that is Hollywood, but the show has certainly been a significant stepping stone in their careers. Fans are particular eager to see what Mike Vogel (Barbie) will do next.
In August you can look forward to another Express show, as cult favourite From Dusk Till Dawn returns for a second season. Until then, tune into M-Net Edge for Under the Dome Season 3 at 02:00 on Saturday mornings, 02:00 and 03:00 on a Tuesday morning for True Detective Season 2 and Ray Donovan Season 3, respectively; and on M-Net Suits Season 5 airs Express on Friday mornings at 02:30.
