#TeamLiraโ€™s Tender Mavundla (35) from Port Shepstone and #TeamBobbyโ€™s Josh Ansley (31) from Johannesburg tonight joined #TeamKahnโ€™s Fatman (40) and #TeamKarenโ€™s Samantha Leonard (24) in the safe group that are already through to the next round of The Voice SA Season 2, after their coaches Bobby van Jaarsveld and Lira selected them out of the 8 extraordinary performances in tonightโ€™s second Live Showstopper show at the Mosaรฏek Teatro in Fairland, Johannesburg.
ย
And after last weekโ€™s performances, The Voice SA fans voted to keep #TeamKahnโ€™s Craig Lucas (23) from Cape Town and #TeamKarenโ€™s PJ Pretorius (26) from Secunda in the competition, which means that sadly the show had to say goodbye to #TeamKahnโ€™s Freddy Lalendle (23) from Durban and Zee Gqamana (23) from Grahamstown, as well as #TeamKarenโ€™s Lindo Sithole (23) from Pietermaritzburg and Amanda Faku (23) from Port Elizabeth.
ย
Now itโ€™s up to the fans to vote which final two singers to keep in the show this week, using their unique voting numbers:

From #TeamLira:
Bubbles Mnomiya (23) from Durban 09
Luke Lovemore (23) from Cape Town 10
Marissa Petzer (22) from Stilfontein 11

And from: #TeamBobby:
Caroline Brussow (32) from Bloemfontein 13
John James Janse van Rensburg (19) from Carletonville 14
Marco Basson (23) from Vanderbijlpark 16

#TeamLira was up first tonight with Marissa Petzer (22) from Stilfontein rocking out the Aerosmith classic, โ€œPinkโ€. โ€œTo think this girl didnโ€™t make it through past the blind auditions last season!โ€ Karen marveled, and Kahn thought her rendition of the song was โ€œsassyโ€.

The effervescent Bubbles Mnomiya (23) from Durban went for the funk with Bruno Marsโ€™ โ€œThatโ€™s What I Likeโ€. โ€œYouโ€™re so versatile, you can do anything,โ€ Bobby noted, and Kahn said she was like the lyric from her song: โ€œstrawberry and champagne on iceโ€! โ€œIโ€™m so, so proud of you!โ€ Coach Lira beamed.
ย
Liraโ€™s rocker, Capetonian Luke Lovemore (23), took the pace down a notch with the Lady Gaga ballad โ€œMillion Reasonsโ€. Karen said that Lukeโ€™s is the kind of voice she likes, โ€œand youโ€™re such a heartthrob as well!โ€ she grinned as Lukeโ€™s coach, Lira, dissolved into tears. โ€œYou donโ€™t know the amount of work that goes into this moment,โ€ she told the audience tearfully.
ย
Liraโ€™s oldest talent in the competition, Tender Mavundla (35) from Port Shepstone, brought out the big guns for her performance of the Tina Turner classic, โ€œProud Maryโ€. โ€œIt was like all the different genres of music wrapped into one two-minute song,โ€ Kahn raved. โ€œYou have such a rebel heart, thatโ€™s what I love about you,โ€ said an impressed Karen. โ€œIt was beautiful to watch that,โ€ said a happy Lira.

#TeamBobbyโ€™s turn on the stage was lead by Johannesburg musical theatre alum Josh Ansley (31), showing off his impressive range with the timeless anthem โ€œEye of the Tigerโ€. Kahn thinks Joshโ€™s nostalgic quality is what makes people like him. โ€œYou are ready to take it to the next level,โ€ Lira told him, and Karen thought his voice is world class. โ€œNot many people can do that โ€“ not in South Africa, not in the world, what you just did,โ€ she said. โ€œYou are one of the best entertainers Iโ€™ve ever seen in my life,โ€ his Coach, Bobby van Jaarsveld, praised.
ย
Matriculant John James Janse van Rensburg (19) from Carletonville brought some soul to the party with his rendition of Shawn Mendesโ€™ pop ballad โ€œTreat You Betterโ€. โ€œSo, so proud of you,โ€ Karen raved. Lira called him the South African Justin Bieber but Kahn thought he was better: โ€œYou actually sing on stage,โ€ he joked. Bobby told him itโ€™s time to let go of his self-doubt now. โ€œYouโ€™re going to go far,โ€ he said.
ย
Next up for #TeamBobby was the blonde lawyer and rugby-wife from Bloemfontein, Caroline Brussow (32), tackling Siaโ€™s โ€œElastic Heartโ€. โ€œYou have powerful, roaring, strong vocal capability,โ€ said an impressed Lira. โ€œYou have an elastic voice!โ€ Karen exclaimed, and noted that Caroline is also the nicest person in the show. โ€œI donโ€™t think youโ€™re human,โ€ Kahn marveled.
ย
And finally Vanderbijlpark engineer Marco Basson (23) chose Ed Sheeranโ€™s pop standard โ€œCastle on the Hillโ€ for his first live performance. Kahn praised Marcoโ€™s sincerity and Karen said she thought he was spectacular. โ€œYouโ€™re my favourite nerd!โ€ his Coach Bobby praised him.

With Tender and Josh now also safe from this weekโ€™s vote, it is up to the fans to decide which final two singers to save with their votes. Only one member of each team can remain โ€“ four singers must be sent home in next weekโ€™s Showstopper episode.
ย
Voting for #TeamLira and #TeamBobbyโ€™sโ€™s singers opened directly after the show at 19:00 tonight and will close on Tuesday, 30 May at 22:00. Fans can vote for their favourite singers via WeChat (free) and SMS (standard rates apply). Terms and Conditions are available on www.mnet.tv/thevoice.
