COJ Billing Blunders

For over a decade, the City of Johannesburg’s rates, water and electricity billing system has been in absolute chaos. Exaggerated estimates, incorrect readings and system errors have plagued residents and even though the city is under a new dispensation, it seems little has changed. It’s just over a year since Carte Blanche covered this story. We follow up to find out whether any of the billing disputes featured, have in fact been resolved.
