Season 6 of the Emmy®- and Golden Globe-winning HBO series Game of Thrones will air on M-Net Binge channel 900 on DStv, just a few weeks before the new season starts on Monday 17 July. Game of Thrones Season 6 Episodes 1 - 5 will air this weekend, Saturday 24 June from 21:30 until 01:23, followed by Episodes 6 - 10 on Sunday 25 June from 21:30 until 01:26.

The show’s traditional April premiere was pushed to the U.S. summer by HBO. Production took place in Northern Ireland, while additional portions were filmed in Spain (Sevilla, Caceres, Almodovar del Rio, Santiponce, Zumaia, and Bermeo) and Iceland. Season 7 directors are Mark Mylod, Jeremy Podeswa, Matt Shakman, and Alan Taylor.

Last year Game of Thrones received 23 Primetime Emmy® nominations, the most of any nominee for the third year in a row. The nominations received at last year’s ceremony include Outstanding Drama Series, two for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series (Peter Dinklage, Kit Harington), three for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series (Emilia Clarke, Lena Headey, Maisie Williams), Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series (Max von Sydow), two for Outstanding Directing for a Drama  Series  (Miguel  Sapochnik,  Jack Bender) and Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series (David Benioff and D.B. Weiss).

The executive producers of Game of Thrones are David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, Carolyn Strauss, Frank Doelger and Bernadette Caulfield; co-executive producers, Guymon Casady, Vince Gerardis, George  R.R.  Martin and Bryan Cogman; producers, Chris Newman, Greg Spence and Lisa McAtackney.

Game of Thrones Season 7 starts on M-Net 101 on Monday 17 July at 2017 at 03:00 (Express from the U.S.) and 21:30 (prime time).
