In what is becoming a predictable awards' race, the BAFTAs held little surprise as Leonardo DiCaprio and Brie Larson yet again scooped the leading acting awards for their respective roles in The Revenant and Room. The former movie also picked up statuettes for Best Film, Best Director, Best Cinematography and Best Sound. Its biggest competition this year, Mad Max: Fury Road, was close behind, receiving four BAFTAs.
The force is still strong as the latest Star Wars chapter made its presence felt by taking home the BAFTA for Best Special Visual Effects, while one of its leads, John Boyega, received the Rising Star Award.
If you missed the ceremony this morning on M-Net Movies Premiere, then watch the repeat on the same channel at 12:05 on Sunday 21 February, or on M-Net Movies Stars at 23:40 on Sunday 28 February.
