The 2015 Emmy Award nominations have been announced and no one is surprised to hear that Game of Thrones is the front runner with a total of 24 nominations, including nods for Peter Dinklage, Diana Rigg, Lena Headey and Emilia Clarke.

Jim Parsons - who plays everyone's favourite infuriating nerd, Dr. Sheldon Cooper, in The Big Bang Theory - was overlooked. Instead, the ladies in his life got nods. Mayim Bialik (who plays Sheldon's girlfriend Amy) and Christine Baranski (who plays Leonard's mother, and is disturbingly fond of Sheldon) received nominations this year. We can just imagine what Sheldon would have to say about that!

Game of Thrones and The Big Bang Theory are not the only shows you would have seen on M-Net. Take a look at the show and acting nominees below for more familiar names, and tune in for the live broadcast of the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards on Monday, 21 September, at 02:00 on M-Net 101, with the Prime Time broadcast airing at 19:30.
